Gretchen Bakke [ 5 JUN 2018 | Urban Design | 35:06 ] The Goethe-Institut and Speculative Life Cluster (Concordia University) Conference on Automated Environments at the Canadian Centre for Architecture on November 1, 2017.

Gretchen Bach holds a PhD from the University of Chicago in Cultural Anthropology. Her work focuses on the chaos and creativity that emerged during social cultural and technological transitions for the past decade. She has been researching and writing about the changing culture of electricity in the United States.

She’s currently an assistant professor of anthropology at McGill University and soon I believe to go to Humboldt University for a brief time.
